Kunal surges ahead in TN State

Sixth seeded M.Kunal of trichy district emerged sole leader with 6points after the sixth round of the Tamilnadu State chess championship in Manargudi.

It is to be noted that Kunal just won a fide rating tournament in Palghat on 13may!

Kunal demolished G.Aakash of Chennai district in the sixth round with white pieces.

Seven other are in second spot with 5 points.

Chessgurukul coaches K.V.Shantharam and K.Gopalakrishnan share the second spot with five points.

It looks like its not going very well so far for the seeded players, but however there’s more to watch from the second half of the tournament.
