Top seed Maxime Vachier-Lagrave held by Andriasian @ Aeroflot Open 2010

The strongest Open in planet earth, Aeroflot Open 2010, got under way in Moscow with the top seed French Grandmaster Maxime Vachier-Lagrave (2730) being held to a draw by Armenian GM Andriasian Zaven (2613). World Junior Champion Lagrave didnt exert much, and took a quiet draw in a Sicilian game that lasted 21 moves.
In another interesting game, third seed Russian Grandmaster Alexander Motylev (2697) scored over GM Alexander Shabalov (2611) of USA. The Petroff game lasted 25 moves.
Indian Grandmaster Krishnan Sasikiran (2653) seeded ninteenth drew with black pieces against GM Melkumyan Hrant (2583) of Armenia. The Grunfeld game saw Sasikiran holding his own in a pawn up but exchange down position that appeared to have even chances for both players. Peace was signed after 38 moves.
